WATC Secure Wigan Council Funding

We are delighted to share that our resident Wigan Autistic Theatre Company have been awarded a total of £1000.00 following their successful bid as part of Wigan Council’s Community Recovery Fund. The funding will support the inclusive amateur theatre company to continue providing creative opportunities for autistic people in the borough. Now in its 4th year of operation, with over 20 active members attending the weekly rehearsals at The Old Courts, the group are hard at work on their upcoming adaptation of the beloved British comedy ‘Educating Rita’ written by Willy Russel.

“We’re delighted to be a recipient of Wigan Council’s Community Recovery Fund which will support us in delivering creative opportunities for local autistic people as well as cultural activities for the wider community to enjoy” – Martin Spencer Director
