The Old Courts regularly works with Borough schools & colleges, offering spaces to perform, learn and enjoy Arts & Culture on their doorstep. It’s important to support the development of next generation of musicians, actors, poets, artists and performers, ensuring they find opportunities to create within their home town.
Wigan & Leigh College’s Music students brought their end of year show to our Bailiff Bar. The event was entirely organised and ran by their second year Music students as part of their event managemnet project.
The sell out event was a great success and led us to explore launching a new open mic night.
Winstanley College musicians took to the Bailiff Bar and Holding Cell stages in their end of year performance.
In hiring our space, we were able to give the students access to our backline and lighting equipment as well as the opportunity to perform in a professional environment.
