“Witnessing a room filled with queer joy, where artists celebrated each other’s creativity from drag to ukulele, and writers making their stage debut to goosebump inducing performances it was truly inspiring. The showcase marked the beginning of something profoundly special and much needed in Wigan. The Old Courts remain a driving force for cultural change within Wigan’s arts landscape. Despite recent challenges, the small team’s unwavering determination and commitment to the local community continue to shine through.”

– Zak Bretherton, The Old Courts’ Design & Marketing Officer, leads on the WERK network and produced the Showcase.
