EPISODE #1 – The Dead Shores
The Dead Shores are somewhat of a stalwart legend of the Wigan Music Scene. Never ones to overgig, or really gig at all actually, this unique 4 piece have remained a thing for nearly 25 years now. Emerging out the other side of one or two personnel tweaks, a global pandemic and an ever-commercialising music scene, the band, brainchild of singer, songwriter and just-about-held-together Crag Whitfield smack of The Stooges, Half Man Half Biscuit, Felt and loads of obscure bands you haven’t heard of yet.
Audiences get blasted with guitar, amused by bittersweet and spot-on poetic lyrics and sometimes marvel at in-song pressups.
In short, they never gig, but they are doing and it’ll be memorable.
